Step by step
- Measure the wall and mark the shelf height with a level.
- Locate studs and position the brackets so the shelf is supported evenly.
- Sand the board smooth and finish it before mounting, if desired.
- Secure brackets to studs; use rated anchors where a stud is unavailable.
- Set the shelf on the brackets and fasten it from underneath.
- Test the shelf with light pressure before loading it gradually and evenly.
