TILE PLANNING

How much tile do I need?

Measure the area you plan to cover, add waste for cuts and breakage, then divide by the face area of one tile.

Example

A 30-square-foot backsplash with a 10% waste allowance needs about 33 square feet of tile coverage. If each tile covers 0.25 square feet, 33 ÷ 0.25 = 132 tiles.

What changes the amount?
