Why tonnage is approximate

Different stone sizes and materials have different densities. HoneyDoPlanner uses a general planning factor of 1.4 tons per cubic yard, but your supplier's conversion should be used for the final order.

Before ordering

Consider compaction, an uneven base, edging, drainage, and whether the supplier has a minimum delivery quantity. A little planning here beats discovering that your driveway is hungry for one more wheelbarrow.
